ฉันกำลังเขียนถึงพ่อ
สิบปีต่อมา
และ 2,000 ไมล์
ไกลจากความเงียบของเรา
ปากของฉันคือถ้ำ
ที่พังทลายไปนานแล้ว
ฉันกำลังเขียน
ขณะพ่อ…
พ่ออยู่ในเสื้อคลุมของโรงพยาบาล
พินิจความล้มเหลวทั้งมวล
ทั้งร่างกายที่ไม่อาจขยับยก
ฉันเห็นนิ้วของพ่อ
เงอะงะซุ่มซ่ามในกล่องยา
ราวกับว่าแผ่นดินไหวในมือ
ถึงเวลาแล้ว ฉันคิด
เพื่อที่เราจะละทิ้ง
ความกักขฬะแห่งตน
เพื่อที่เราจะพูดแก่กัน
ให้นุ่มนวลยิ่ง…
เราต่างก็เป็นเพียง
…มนุษย์
